Judith Beeby is a British contemporary abstract painter.
Judith's intention is to celebrate colour and her paintings are created by manipulating the movement of paint, blending different hues and tones, changing the viscosity and using gravity to dictate the paint’s movement.
The results of this process is a subjective, fantasy landscape which engages the viewer. You can get lost and drawn in to the experience of interpreting the colour and shapes. An additional layer of resin gives the work a depth that enhances this dreamlike quality.
There have been several series of her paintings inspired by aerial photographs of the earth, satellite images of space and, most recently, mountain ranges.
